Hello.
Some followup info that has evolved in case it would be helpful for anyone ( we are Pachicano through our paternal grandmother):
I began my genealogy search trying to find information about the relatives of my grandmother in hopes of simply making contact with distant relatives, and also to try to find additional data about our ancestors in Mexico. I am thankful that several relatives have contacted me through the power of the World Wide Web...
One of my initial requests for information concerned my grandmother's brother, JOSE NATIVIDAD -- have been told and have found that he was born in 1895, in Tlaxcalilla barrio of San Luis Potosi,SLP, Mexico -- he was registered in the Civil Registry as Natividad Pachecano, and was baptized at the Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de Asuncion de Tlaxcalilla as JOSE NATIVIDAD PACHICANO.
His father, JOSE LUCIANO PACHICANO, was born in 1857, in the Municipio de Armadillos, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, and was baptized at the San Isabel church in Armadillos. LUCIANO is our paternal great grandfather, father of our grand mother, HILARIA (TORRES).
LUCIANO'S father, PABLO PACHICANO, was married in 1856, in the Municipio de Armadillos, SLP -- he married JACOBA GONSALEZ... Apparently PABLO and JACOBA had at least the following kids: JOSE LUCIANO, SILVESTRE, JUAN PABLO, FRANCISCA and JOSE MARCIANO. It is known that LUCIANO'S kids emigrated to Texas. and that SILVESTRE emigrated to the THORNDALE/THRALL, Texas area of central Texas... SILVESTRE married JUANA LEIJA in 1882, in Mexico, and JUANA passed away in THORNDALE/THRALL AREA of Texas abt 1930/1931.
Also, apparently, after JACOBA GONSALES passed away, PABLO PACHICANO married MARIA MORENO in 1885, in the Municipio de Hidalgo, San Luis Potosi, Mexico -- they had at least one child, NICOLAS PACHICANO, born in 1888 in Mexico. Nicolas emigrated to Thrall, Texas and passed away in 1976 in Taylor, Texas, just west of Thrall... My parents and we kids visited him and his kids/grandkids during my childhood.
Have not run across any info prior to PABLO PACHICANO, so if anyone has any info about the names of his parents, would appreciate it if you would let me know. I grew up in central Texas but live in southern California... I would like to find out where LUCIANO is buried ( and of course, the other ancestors in Mexico)... I am interested in family genealogy, so if any new data or clarifications come up, would appreciate hearing from you.
