Dear Amy,
All the american names of Pacheco, are spelled as so. We are from the line of Joseph(Joe) Pacheco from Tecun,N.M. The interesting part is they moved to Hawaii to have their children and alot of them settled later in Sanfransisco area. All you can do is keep searching. Joe Pacheco born june 2,1893. Our family tradition, is to name the first born son Joe. Our Joe was born in 1993. My husbands brother was born 1951, he also has a son named Joe. Good Luck, God Bless.
