Elaine,

(First of all sorry for my english)This is my Pacheco's history: My grandfather was a Pacheco as I am and he was born next to Escalona village,(in Montalván Village) (Toledo is the main city of this Spanish State). My grandfather never knew anything about his mother and father, (because he probably was born outside of the marriage)but curiously was given to a woman and she was ordered to protect him and she was paid for that. (She died and she kept the secret about who was my granfather's mum)So incredibly my grandfather kept his surnname. We always been trying to know who was my grandfather mum and if he had got brothers or sisters. Do you know anything about the Pachecos from the Toledo region in Spain???
