The RootsWeb California Death Index,

has a Hilda Oshell born in Canada, father's surname PACK, mother's maiden name KUHN. It is either a coincidence or whoever supplied the data didn't know Hilda very well. If you try for obituaries, keep in mind that whoever supplied the death certificate data may have supplied the obituary data too, so it may have the same error.
It also has Harry and his brother listed properly. The library in the town they died may be able to send you a copy of their obituary, which may list survivors at the time.
