Hi Ted...thanks for all the info...I'd assume that was the right Noah (or should I say NoahS)...and that Greene Co TN was the correct CO. Last night on another search engine I found my husband's grandfather "Herman L. Pack - age 21" listed in the WWI Vets for Greene Co TN...or I'm assuming that's the right one. Guess one should never assume in genealogy research :)
I think we're on the right track. Is there anyway you can search neigbors in 1880 census on the other site??? OR is it just individual. On the CD's at Archives...I can highlight and print off neighbors...I may do that in the AM since you've located Noah..to see if there are any Gragg (sp) families listed close by...OR other Pack families.
I did a search on Lydia Kesterson and found no one by that name...so the name may be wrong. I'll have to re-check.
I might luck out and find some of them close by as neighbors in 1880 also.
The reply I received from Floyd located them in 1860 census (I believe).
Wanted to thank you for your assistance. I'll keep you posted.
PS - If you find anything else that looks like it might fit my husband's family...you can either email direct and/or post here. I'm an avid researcher...just never tried "tackling" the Pack family since I had so very little. Can't believe you all have helped find sooo much so fast. This is wonderful!!!!
