Hi Jerry, Yes I have the McCoy book. I attended the first few reunions in Pikeville. The only additional info I have on Sarah was found in LDS 1880 cenus project. It put her birth c.1845 and she is white. She lived next door to Asa Peter. What was interesting was Asa Peter had some young female housekeepers with the last name of Layne also. My Mom said her Dad, Gus Pack, son of Joe and Alifair, had a grandmother that was a full-blooded Indian. I have found enough on the Packs to rule out his paternal grandmother. Has your wife heard any of these family rumors? Thanks, Betty James
