Hi Betty, There seems to a a "rumor" in every family from Martin and Lawrence Co that their grandmother was a Cherokee Indian- Hummm Wonder why there was never a Cherokee grandfather??????? I am not saying with 100% absolute assurance that no one had a Cherokee Grandmother but I have over 40,000 names in my files and I have yet to find a Cherokee connection with any of them. If anyone can show me then I'll beleive-
Marsha

PS My own mother still insists her grandmother was a Cherokee and I just let it go. Its better not to beat a dead horse!!!
