Thanks Ted. The address is http:/genforum.genealogy.com/pack/messages/1201.html. I am attending a Pack gathering this Saturday and plan to inform them that Thomas Marion's parents have been found. I have been to the Davidson County Archives and gotten copies of the estate case but have no details of the murder trial. This must be why my grandmother said if we kept asking questions we would learn something we would not want to know--we thought she was talking about the Indian blood. Please contact me at hudginsj@bellsouth.net. I descend from Thomas Marion's son, Martin Van Buren Pack, and have other info and pictures. Have you seen Christine Yates Soyars' book, The Thomas M Pack Clan"? That is my family. Thanks again. Peggy
