Elizabeth Lowery (called Betsy)daughter of Col.John and his first wife,Elizabeth (Shorey)Lowery,married .William Shorey Pack.She took a reservation of 640 acres of land under the treaty of 1819,where the town of Jasper now stands.etc. She moved to the west in 1838. She had issue:
(a)Thomas Jefferson Pack who married Jennie Taylor,daughter of Fox Taylor,and they had issue:(1) Lowery Vann Pack; (11) William Shorey Pack married Jennie Starr and Mrs.Araminta (Gunter) Ragsdale; Cynthia Pack married Daniel Harmon;(iv) Amanda Packmarried Thomas Cordery.
(b) Cynthia Pack daughter of William S.and Betsy (Lowery) Pack married John Cowart,in Alabama. Upon the removal of the Cherokees,John Cowart moved with his family to Ross'Landing where he locatedand became one of the pioneer settlers of the town which became Chattanooga.Children:Lemuel married Ann Dameron ,OK.,Jennie m. Matthew Williams,Thomas M. Jennie Day,John M. Fannie Huey,Slater Cowart M. Nannie King.All settled in Ok. except Thomas deceased.
