Bartemus Pack (1795-1874)

The George Pack who died in Maryland in 1754 was suppoedly married to a Margaret Bartemus. We have always assumed, but never proven, that all of the Bartemus and Bartley Packs were named after someone who was, in turn, given her maiden name as a given name.

My DNA matches 34 out of 37 points to a man who is a proven descendant of 1754 George, which makes it almost certain that 1754 George was the grandfather or granduncle or 1st cousin 1, 2 or 3 times removed to my 4th GGF, Samuel Pack, who died in Monroe County VA (Now Summers, WV) in 1833. Samuel in turn was probably brother to the George who died in 1825 in Lawrence County KY.

Bartemus was probably a descendant of 1754 George, given the name, but I don't know who his parents were, and thus don't know the exact relation.
