Try Tennessee for John C. Pack. There were a lot of Packs in TN and many ended up working for the railroad. I think I have come across a John and Arminta in TN (Franklin, Marion or Grundy counties) but it escapes me in what. May have been census or marriage records I was looking at. Lots of Packs down there - most came to TN from NC
