Marriage of GREENVILLE PACK, 1850
Posted by: Rev. Jerry Olinger Date: July 20, 1999 at 11:32:08
  of 1640

I was doing some research several years ago in Tazewell County, Virginia when I came across the following marriage record for GREENVILLE PACK:

GREENVILLE PACK, married SUSAN PARK or PACK, on May 31st., 1850 in Tazewell County.

It appeared that the name of GREENVILLE PACK's second wife was probably SUSAN PARK, but I can't say for sure if it was PARK or PACK. It was recorded as PARK.

This would mean that his marriage to REBECCA DUNCAN in Patrick County, Virginia on September 13, 1863 was his third marriage. GREENVILLE PACK was first married to NANCY HOOKER on January 6, 1823 in Patrick County, Virginia.

In 1850, the family of GREEN PACK showed as follows:

GREEN PACK, age 46; SARAH, age 37; MARTHA, age 21; LOCKY M., age 20; JAMES, age 18; ARMSTEAD, age 17; GABRIEL, age 15; JONATHAN, age 13; and SECILIA PACK, age 11, all born in Virginia.

In 1860, the family of GREENVILLE PACK was enumerated as follows:

GREENVILLE PACK, age 54; MARTHA, age 28; CELIA, age 20; ELIZABETH, age 12; RUTH, age 8; WILLIAM, age 6; THOMAS, age 5; and JOHN PACK, age 3, all born in Virginia. The latter five children appear to be the children of GREENVILLE PACK and his second wife, SARAH. SARAH PACK must have been deceased by this time.
