I am in the midst of downloading what appears to be a complete, or nearly complete, set of images of pension files and land bureau warrant applications for Revolutionary War Packards and their widows. If you have a Packard ancestor who served in that war, and do not have access to those images through Ancestry or HQ Online, email me off-forum and I will send the file to you. Be aware that some of the pages in some of the images are of poor quality and very hard to read. The files are worth viewing, though, as they often provide information that you might not have. Widow's files, for example, often include sworn statements by the ministers that married Packard couples, giving date, place and the bride's maiden name. They also often provide the date and place of death of the Packard soldier. The veteran's files often prove the date and place of the veteran's birth, and almost all files provide an interesting, and sometimes detailed, account of the veteran's war service. Dale H.
