My apologies - somehow I compressed two generations into one in that account. Eleazer Packard's wife was indeed Mercy Richards. She was born 15-Feb-1725/26 at Abington [Abington VR 1:195], daughter of Joseph and Mercy (Ford) Richards. She married Eleazer Packard in 1751 per "Descendants of Andrew Ford ..." but I have not found a contemporary record of the marriage. That year seems to be based solely upon the fact that their first child was born 25-Feb-1751 "old Stile" [Bridgewater VR 1:246]. She died about 1768/69, because her last child was baptized 31-Oct-1768 at Hardwick [Hardwick VR 81] and Eleazer remarried 09-Jun-1769 at Hardwick to Mary Woodberry [Hardwick VR 218, 270]. Per his gravestone in the West Hill Cemetery in Plainfield, Eleazer Packard died 13-Feb-1803 in his 76th year [Corbin Collection].
