This is a case that the published vital records can solve. "Annals of Oxford" is correct. Josiah Packard married Sarah Ames 12-Jan-1747 at Bridgewater [Bridgewater VR 2:33, 278. They were married in the Fourth Church in Bridgewater [Brockton VR 165, 258].

Their son Abiel married Hannah Harris 14-Oct-1794 [Bridgewater VR 2:159, 273], also in the Fourth Church [Brockton VR 213, 252]. Note that the marriage record shows Abiel as of Hebron in Cumberland Co., which was then still in MA (now Oxford Co., ME).
