While traveling thru Maine a few years ago we ran across the Packard name in Searsport at the Penobscot Marine Museum.Upon investigation we found that the family was ship builders and captains.I have photos taken of the graves of Marlboro(b 8/19/1828, d 2/4/1903) and his wife Mary M. Packard(b 12/31/1836, d 6/18/1916). Because of the timeframe, this may be a brother of your Edward Toby. I also have a photo of the home which is now a restaurant.Other Packard refs. in that area:
Caroline Gilmore Packard,b. 1/11/1868, dtr of Marlboro & Mary Maria (Park) Packard
Henrietta Mindoro Garey b. 8/2/1885, d.1975, dtr of Franklin N. & Henrietta Rankin Packard
