Christina: I'm a descendant of Zaccheus Packard d. 3 Aug. 1723 and of his son Zaccheus, b. 4 September 1693, d. 8 November 1775. Zaccheus the younger married Mercy Alden, 21 October 1725, according to Early Massachusetts Marriages prior to 1800, by Frederick William Bailey. I've not yet found resources to verify Mercy Alden as the granddaughter of John Alden, though I've got some book titles & call numbers to check next time I make it into "the big city" (I live way out in the country) to the library. I had been rather dismayed to find, on my last trip to the library, that they're woefully deficient in information on John Alden, about whom I've heard and read (in school history texts) since I was a child. Anything you'd like from my line? I have a goodly bit of information -- most of us do; it's a pretty well documented line. I'd be happy to supply the book titles I have, as they may lead to some of your more direct ancestors, too. I'd be pleased to have information from you, whatever you care to share.
