Hi Barbara. I came across this that I had copied from the History of Norway by Whitman pg. 128:
"Rev. Charles Packard (Congregationalist)
Charles Packard, born in Minot, 1818, was a graduate of Bowdoin, and the Bangor Theological Seminary. He immediately received a call to be pastor of the society here, and his ministry in Norway continued for four years, to December 1849. He married the same year he took charge of the parish, Miss Hannah F. Holt, daughter of Uriah Holt. They had two children born in Norway, Charles F. Packard, Oct 19, 1846, and Anna Maria, Aug. 5, 1849. Mr Packard was much interested in education and all moral reforms. He died suddenly in February 1881, aged 63."
I have Packards, including more than one Charles, from nearby Greenwood and Waterford, but I don't know how they link to this line. Thought this might be of interest to you anyway, since you mentioned Minot. - Jeanne
