William Packard was Silas' brother. They came to Canton with thier brother Joel and sister Milly. All three brothers are in the 1830 Bradford County Census.
I recently recieved a thread of possible lineage from a Gary R. Packard. He accounts William (and Silas) as sons of Daniel Packard. And from him to Daniel Senior, Captain Abiel Packard, Zacheus, and Ensign Samuel Packard of Wymondham, Norfolk, England, born 1612-20.
This is very interesting reading, but I have not confirmed the link between Daniel of Bridgewater, MA, and William, Silas, Joel, and Milly, who supposedly were from Phelam, MA.
Any links you stumble over - please forward to me.
