I am sorry to say that it is unlikely that you will find a sketch of the brig Diligent as it sailed during the 1600s and was not a ship of any particular importance, save to those of us whose ancestors sailed in her. Alternatively, you might want to use a photograph of the church at Stonham Aspal, Suffolk Co., UK where your forebearer Samuel Packard was a member of the congregation. Several photos can be seen online.
In case you did not know, that Sam Packard, his family and many of his friends, all of whom were Puritans, left England at the same time when their spiritual leader was threatened by the ecclesiastic court in London. You can find more information about that in the New England Historical Geneaological Society journal. Online, you can also find photos of the house in which the Packards lived. Now known as Red House Farm the current house incorporates all of the remaining 17th century structure in which our ancestor was born and raised.
