Bonnie - my mother is Clara's sister, and I was looking for Asa Samuel (Sampson) Packard for my Mom. I got the name Sampson from Robert Milligan Packard's family Bible, where Asa's birth was recorded by his mother. Apparently you have traced the family back further than I have been able to, would love to compare notes. I only got as far back as Robert's grantparents in Erving, MA. Robert moved to North Adams when he was about 14, but cannot find much beyond that.
