I've noticed a number of Packers with the first or middle name of Howard (including my grandfather, John Howard Bell Packer), and I've come across a number of Packers in Howard Township, Centre County, PA. I wonder if anyone knows if there is a linkage between Packer and Howard families that might explain these connections? Thanks in advance for any help.
