My great grandfather was Francis Marion Packer, born in 1846 in Coldwater, Branch, Michigan. His father is listed as Jonathan Packer and mother as Mariah Canrike. I do not know where his parents were born or if there are sibblings. Could this be the same Johathan Packer. Maybe the other name could be him, but if that is the case, the other child would have been a son, but with a name like Francis Marion it would be hard to tell, but I know that my Francis Marion was male.
