This is really drawing at straws, I know. But this very odd last name was used by my distant grandparents to name one of their daughters (MARY ALLY PACLET Canipe). Mary Ally's parents Lawson (German immigrant)and Louisa Jane Neal (blood heritage not known), were married in THEN Union County, South Carolina between 1850 & 1855. They then migrated to Mississippi and lived out their lives.

Because naming patterns help us to link parentage and names of ancestors.......I was hoping this query might open a new doorway for me. My hopes are that the name Paclet will turn out to be the maiden name of Lawson's mother. From what research I have been able to do, Paclet is a French surname.
