My wife'mother was a PADDEN, Mary Magdoline Padden, married a James Kinnerney, and lived & taught school in Hornell, NY. Have attended many HYLAND/PADDEN reunions in the WELLSVILLE, NY area. I have lots of data on the Hornell, Andover, Wellsville Paddens and am searching for more. I can go back as far as Patrick Padden who was born 1800 in Ireland, married Catherine born in 1810, married abt 1825 in Ireland. They had seven children the first four born in Ireland and the last three in Andover, NY. They immigrated between 1838 & 1839. Patrick F. married an Alice O'Connel 1n 1856. I believe this family all came from County Cork. The blood line went from the first mentioned to Patrick F. on to Edward Francis Padden b. 1867, d. 1951. Edward m. Margarette Hyland 11-30-1894. They had 12 children the last living was Augustine who died in 1994. Would love to share my data and receive yours. I an currently trying to determine the relatiocship of John Padden age 80 who lived in the Patrick F Padden household in the US Census for NY, Allegany, Andover, NY. I believe he was a brother of the first Patrick mentioned above, thus Patrick F.'s uncle. Patrick & wife Catherine lived nearby & appeared on the Andover Census. Some of this doesn't make sense with the folklore of the family. Dwayne
