I am not sure abt correct pronunciation, proper spelling, & all the other stuff that was mentioned, but my research on this name has been this. Paden is shortened from the Gaelic MacPaidin, meaning 'son of Paidin'. Paden is also a nickname or 'pet name' for Padraig (Patrick).
