Ronald Merritt;

2nd Lt Jerome Jay Paden was my brother.
Mabel Ruth Paden was my mother and Kenneth N Paden ( actually John Paden - his mother, Lillian, added the middle name "Kenneth" on his WW I enlistment papers because she didn't like the Army notation "NMI" (No Middle Initial)on them.

I believe that I've been contacted by Barbara Herr a few years ago asking for information on my family. I'm ashamed to admit that her letter is still in the bottom of my "In" basket marked "Urgent". She told me that my Grand Father's name was Frank L Paden who died in Chicago and was buried in Camden, IL? IN? at the turn of the century (1900).

God only knows how I stumbled on these genealogical records,but I'm delighted that I did tonight.

Regards,
Jack Paden
