Padfield Family Genealogy Forum

Hello, I know that your post is like 10 years old, but I was researching my grandfather's name and came up with you post. My maternal grandfather was Jesse Ransom Padfield. He died about 4 months before I was born in 1956, so I never got to meet him. Jesse had a farm in Tempe, Arizona just outside of "Yaki Town" which I believe was a yaki reservation near the farm. He grew mostly cotton. My mother was the first of four children. Only my mom and Uncle are still alive of the children. I got to see the old farmhouse back in the 60's. it is long since torn down for the urban sprawl that Phoenix has become.
I was stunned that grandpa was married before he was married to Lucile G. Irvine Padfield. I would be interested in seeing some documentation on that. I have a photo of Jesse and Lucile in my home that was taken in the 30's. If you get this and are interested in following up, please feel free to contact me directly at jgorham@threewolves.com
By the way, I was alway taught that the origins of Padfiel are Welch.
