Hello, Julie. Many thanks for that information.You've started something now! I spent about twelve years researching Gardiners and disciplined myself to 'do the women' later. It was an idle half hour last Sunday that drew me to the Padfield site. Have you looked at some of the earlier notices there? A lot of threads appear to cross. I shall apply myself to the problems - have you looked at the IGI family search site? There are 31 Isaac Padfields alone on record, and many were in Holcombe.
