well I didn't post who my family was.
my grandfather was Gordon Arnold Padfield called BOB he lived in
bakersfield ca. during the depression and owned a rock company and ran large road equiptment
owned the Blue Room in Balboa Island CA> along with the faris wheel and part ownership in a cannery near there and a Hotel.
he sold this out and moved to a dry wheat farm on 1100 or so acres in Idaho. then he retired. louise and he moved to seattle WA ( actually Lake Olympia, I think) area where his wife Louise( Skinner) Padfield(second wife) worked for Boeng Aircraft. they sold out there and became "snow Birds" where Bob died in Yuma AZ. he also lived in other cities all over AZ. but their favorite place was Pinetop AZ area. this is where we scattered his and his wifes ashes.
Jesse R ( ransom) Padfield was his Dad, his and mom a unknown italian woman, Jesse and her divorsed early in their marriage. Grandpa grew up in LA where he tried to get into the movies, ( which was forced on him by his mom). Bob had one sister. Jesse had at least one sister who was involved with the Azuza street revival. he name was something like Ida. there was atleast one brother too.
Jesse their father had and worked a farm around Pheonix AZ where he died.
but family lore says there were 7 brothers that came to the new land before the mayflower. one was hung as a horse theif. I know that we have tons of Padfield cousin in ILL somewhere fram back behind Jesse.
well if anyone knows this line of Padfields please scream, I would like to know more about the Padfields orgins.
