The LDS Church sells a set of CDs that index the 1880 census. I have that set. While Ancestry.com has the photographed pages, it doesn't have that year indexed online.
> Louise Pagel is not on the 1880 census, so maybe she had died before then??
Probably. Or, though it seems unlikely because of her parent's ages, Louise could have been the first daughter and married by 1880.
>are you related to me?
Not that I can prove, but I work on the assumption that all Pagel people are related. There are just too few of us and too many come from the same area of Europe.
I found it interesting that Henry DIEHR, who eventually marries Ida GESSERT, was living with the family in 1880.
