A little messages from the Netherlands.
I'm also searching my roots on the www and found out the next things;

The name Pagel or Pagels is the same as Pegels.
I found out by searching records from over sea going Pegels. Theodor Pegels( 1855-1932) and his wive Sophia( 1858-1923) born in Mecklenburg, Germany. They went to Rochester,Monroe,NY. There they become parents of a twin; Flora and Clara in 1880.

a other Pegels who became a Pagels is Tjetse Pegels,singel,male, fisherman in Harlingen,Holland. He went to New York at april 2th 1905 with the SS Celtic from Liverpool and from there he went to Holy Beach, New Jersey.
Here is the link

About myself; I know that my German family lived near Hagen and Bielefeld. But I'm lokking for information myself about this piece of the puzzle....

Is there a Pagel(s) who knowes more about Pegels becoming a Pagel or Pagels?
