You are probably never going to see this, but just in case.
I am John Pagel's great great granddaughter. His daughter, Caroline pagel married Herman Stegeman. Herman was John's sister's son. John's sister Fredarica married August Stegeman. Knowing that, I'd say it is very possible that Bill married his 2nd cousin. The Shultz, Pagels, Stegemans and Riechs were the big family names in that area of MN. Louise's maiden name was Shultz.
