Frank, here is a listing of William B.Painter's other half brothers and sisters as well as a listing of his wife Mary Elizabeth Howard. In the 1860 Schuyler County census of Missouri, his step mom Martha Jane Howard remarried to Thomas J. Burnett from North Carolina in Ray Co.Mo. on 11 May 1856. Thomas is 30 and Martha is 35 here. Elizabeth is from Indiana(Mary E. Howard I believe)is 14/15. Jane(mispelled James) is next at 12. Thomas is 9. He was born in Aug 1850 in Warren Co. Missouri and was in the civil war. Lucinda is 5.James,Thomas, and Lucinda were all Painters. Then came George Burnett who was 2 and David Burnett who was 1. The page and number is 993-980. They were living near Green Top Post Office at Salt River Township in schuyler County. Thomas was a farmer with real estate worth $300 and personal property of 125 dollars.
