ED. & ED. The News Papers I got the Obituaries out of for the Painter Family were The Wyoming State Journal, Lander Fremont County, Wyoming. Death of John Wesley Painter, His Obituary, Dated Oct. 25th, 1912. Lander Pioneer Passes: Funeral Last Sunday. Mrs. Lucy Augusta Belle Painter, Her Obituary, Dated March 14th, 1946. Wesley William Painter, His Obituary,Dated Friday, April 6th, 1917 is the date on it. was sent to me by theHistorial Society, at Lander. John & Lucy, I Got from the Archives at Cheyenne, Wyoming.You Say you have Jacob Goodrich, As Lucy Painter's step Father, (that is Cerrect.) But I'am sure that He was the only Father She ever knew, for Jacob & Martha were Married, This is the record,STATE OF MISSOURI, COUNTY OF BARRY, I here by certify that on the 18th day of March, A.D.1870 in the Township of White River in said Conuty, Mr. JACOB GOODRICH & MRS. MARTHA WALKER both of said County, were by me legally joined in Marriage, April 14th, 1870, By David W. Gray, Minister of the Gospel, Filed & Recored April 14th,1870, By Michard Horine, Recorder.Lucy was Born March 19th, 1868 at Shanghi, Missouri, She was just alittle over two (2) years Old when Jacob & Martha was Married, Martha other Daughter, was JENNIE LEE WALKER. Born ca. 1867. Jennie Lee Walker Married HIRAM JOSEPH FARNHAM Jan. 22 1885, North Fork, Fremont County, Wyoming., She died in giving birth to there Daugther, the baby named after Jennie,died 18 Months after.JACOB WETZEL GOODRICH is his real name, Born Elkhart Indiana, June 21th 1841, Pension #290- 879, Jacob served in the Frist (1st)INDEPENDENT KANSAS BATTERY, as a Corporal, His Captain, Later to become COL. THOMAS MOONLIGHT, KANSAS'S 13th ADUSTANT GENERAL from Jan. 8th, 1883- Jan. 22nd, 1885. COL. THOMAS MOONLIGHT later become the 7th, GOVERNOR STATE OF WYOMING.I could go on & on With Jacob W. Goodrich History, For he is my Great Grand Father by Marriage , I Guess.But he will alwaysbe my Grand Mother's Father. Jacob first came to the Rockies Mountain in the year of 1859.Lucy A. Walker Painter, her real Father was GEORGE WALKER,BORN AUGUSTA, GEORGIA,Her Mother's Maiden name was MARTHA ELIZABETH SARTON. MARTHA birth place was Louisana.After Jacob & Martha Divorce in 1892, Jacob went to Idaho he remarried twice. he is buried at Buffalo wyoming. He and his wife were residence of the Old Soldiers Home there at Buffalo. F.J.P.
