AustroHungarian Cavalry and Anton Palcic/ch of Pudob

Has anyone run across a Palcich connection to the AustroHungarian armed forces? Specifically, Do you know anything about Austro-H cavalry designations pre1905 (date of Anton's emigration)? We just saw a wonderful picture for the first time of ANton in his uniform and got to handle his sword. The scabbard has stamped 11.L(larger and has leftside bar at top like L has on right bottom).B(maybe strong S? also larger letter).1. and second line centered 12.Am guessing the periods separate battalion from division, etc. Family story is that he was in Franz Josef's bodyguard.
Have read kind of general stuff on AH preWWI cavalry but would be grateful if anyone has specifics. Picture in uniform available if useful.
Many thanks, Cyndy
