How is Palcic Pronounced?

Could anyone possibly tell me how Palcic is pronounced? My grandfather changed his surname in the 1920s (@ age 18) to Murray from Povlik/Pavlik??? I do not know how his birth surname was spelled and know very little about him or his family. I am searching for the correct spelling of the surname (the spellings above are my ideas based on the name told to me by my mother). Family stories has his family from Poland. I've learned he was born in Pittsburgh, PA on 9/8/1909, career military (Army) and his first name was Frank (not sure if birth name). In the late 1940s/early 1950s he attended a family reunion in the Arlington, VA area (possibly). He had a least one brother I am aware of that lived in Florida but had the birth surname. Thank you. He is my HUGE brick wall and I would love to learn more about my grandfather.
