PALCICs Wanted ~~ Dead or Alive!

To all those curious Palcics or Palcic descendants out there lurking on the sidelines, please feel free to jump right in with your comments, questions and information. Who knows? Maybe we can help you make a connection.

There have been numerous contacts made with many different Palcic, Palcich, Palsic, Palcie, Pelcic families, mostly in the United States, but in several other countries as well. Many of these contacts do not appear in this forum.

Chris Sepic and I have quite thoroughly looked at the 99 (Slovenian and Croatian) PALCIC listings on the Ellis Island records Web site. In addition, we have found some other Palcic surname listings that appear there under alternate spellings due to transcription problems.

Many pieces of this big Palcic puzzle have already been found, but we are attempting to find a common ancestor in here someplace so that we might be able to put it all together. That, however, will require more in-depth searching of the archives in Croatia and Slovenia. I personally have found several cousins here in the United States, some descended from George Palcic (b. abt. 1836), the brother of my great grandfather, Martin Palcic (1847–1934), plus many more in Slovenia who are descendants of Janez Palcic (1877–1943), brother of my grandfather, Ernest Palcic (1885–1965).

If you are not comfortable posting to forums and would prefer a more private means of getting in touch, please send me an e-mail at: ~~ We might be able to help you find some of your long-lost relatives and ancestors...or you might be able to provide us with another piece of the puzzle.

Don’t be shy ~~ please let us hear from you.

Thank you.
Best regards,
Daniel Palcic
