Hi Gary,

I hope you're still on this board!

For the past few years I've been tracing the Palan's (whichever way you prefer to spell it) hoping it will somehow help break through one of my brick walls.

Your GG grandfather Abram died the winter of 1867-68 back in Dixon's Corners after purchasing land in the vicinty of Dundas earlier that year. After Abram's death Anna moved to Dundas with her seven surviving children. I presume her decision was, in part, based on the fact that Abram's brother, James R. Palan Sr., and his family were living in Dundas.

My connection: James R. Palan Sr. was married to Ann M. Dickson. I believe Ann is a sister to my GGG grandfather Alexander Forsyth Dixon.

Please contact me if you'd like to compare notes - maybe we can help each other fill in some blanks.
