RE: John Palfrey[father of John Palfree]was born in Nottingham around 1808 and died in Derby Workhouse in 1882.No idea of area in Nottinghamshire or needed, please!

In, there is a John Palfree who was born about 1809 and in the 1881 census, he is aged 72 and an inmate at the Derby Union Workhouse in Markeaton. It says that he is married. Sorry, but it only says that he is from Nottingham.

There is an Elizabeth Palfree (born about 1813) who was also born in Nottinghamshire and is visiting 14 Bag Lane, Derby St. Peter. I wonder if this is John (the one in the workhouse)'s wife? Or perhaps his sister.

There's quite a few Palfree's listed. Keep an eye for a free 3-day pass in and you will be able to search more thorough. If there's a Latter Day Saints church near you, they have free genealogy rooms where you can search for free using their computers.
