Yes, I believe that my cousin took a photo of the grave of a Joseph Palfery while he was in the UK last year. My Palfery group also worshiped at St Petrox but they are buried at Longcross Cemetary, which is an annex of St. Saviour's burial grounds.
My great-great-great-grandfather was William Henry Palfery, born about 1810 in Brixham. He was married to Mary Bard Wills of Kingswear at St Petrox Church. He was a mariner, as well as several of his sons. His youngest boy Robert (and wife Mary Amanda) are buried beside them. Their other children include Frederick Henry, William, John Rich (my great-great grandfather), James Latchford, George Henry, Mary Bard, Jane Rich, and Robert. I know for sure that William, John Rich (captain), and George Henry were all mariners. William sailed on the "Onward" with his uncle Robert (b 1813) and Robert's son Robert.
Sadly, William Henry b 1810 Brixham does not show up in the christening records from Brixham, but I'm almost 100 percent sure that he was the child of William & Jane Palfery.
I have the following entries from Brixham:
Joseph Palfery, christened Dec 2, 1802,son of Joseph & Elizabeth Palfery. Henry Palfree, christened Sep 6, 1804 son of Joseph & Elizabeth Palfree. Ann Pafery, christened Feb 20, 1806, daughter of Joseph & Elizabeth Pafery. Harriott Palfery, christened Mar 24, 1811, daughter of John & Eleanor Palfery. Robert Palfrey christened Jan 28, 1813 son of William & Jane Palfrey. Henry Palfry christened Jul 25, 1813 son of John & Eleanor Palfry died June 11, 1815. Louisa Palfrey christened Sept 8, 1816, daughter of John & Eleanor Palfrey. John Bickford Palfery born Dec 14, 1816, christened Dec 7, 1817 son of William & Jane Palfery.
I am 99 percent sure that the Robert Palfery b 1813 is my uncle (William Henry's brother). Joseph has different parents, but they have to be related! I'll bet he's a cousin.
I would like to correspond with you further on this if you would please write to me privately. I can tell you more about my family through the email. Please....write! I'd love to hear from you and tell you about all our mariners and you can share your story with me. I'd really like to hear what you have back further beyond Joseph Palfery. I've been stuck at this level for over a year. I will definitely exchange and share info with you. firstname.lastname@example.org
