Almost all my Palfrey searching is confined to Radnorshire and border to Brecon. I noticed in the I.G.I. three mentions to the Palfrey name around Gloucester, and others have mentioned Somerset. Early history states that the name originated in around Norfolk when seamen were given land in the West to compensate for their years of service. Unproved, of course.
