Frisby on the Wreak baptisms are on the I.G.I. This village was in Leicestershire and as you say not far from Melton Mobray. I haven't a John the date you want. They are mainly spelt Palin here. Mine moved to Coldecote in Warwickshire from here, and then Wolvey. They were millers. They were also found as Paling, Pauling, Parling, Pawling and Pailing.
