Hi, my name is Jessie H. Paulk and I live in Salem FL. email is
My first known ancestor was Samuel PALK 1665-1710/1711. He was born/died in Concord, Middlesex Co, MA. He married Sarah BRABROOKE 13 Feb 1888/89 (5 Nov 1670-8 May 1744) and had 9 children. I have been researching this family for over 35 years. To date, I have not found where Samuel came from but do not ieve that it was SCOTLAND. The POLLOCK CLan has no records or other info linking the PALK/PAULK name with the exception that in NC during 1700's Robert Bruce POLLOCK changed his name to POLK. That just happen to be the same time my GGGGgrandfather Jonathan was in NC and his name was erroneously listed as POLK because of the way it sounded.
I would love to find my roots before Samuel but want it to be more than an assumption on someone's part.
To date, I have over 150,000 descendants and related families of Samuel. Every PAULK that I have found in the US has been traced back to Samuel PALK.
I have not had any luck in WALES, ENGLAND, and/or SCOTLAND on the PALK family being connected to my Samuel PALK.
Would appreciate any help I get.
