Since the Palkovic name is very uncommon, there may be a connection somewhere down the line.

My father in law who is in his 70's told me he thought his father had a brother who lived in the USA.

His name was Ondrej Palkovic b:1897 who I new quite well.
He married Zuzana Trocha in 1920. Both were from Rovne, but I am not too familiar with that part of the world.

There is a Jan Palkovic, Pavel Palkovic as, but little known of them.
The name may have been spelled PalkovicH at one time, or a slight variation.
