And another Palmateer steps into the discussion.

My father was Clifford Allen Palmateer, his was Clyde George Palmateer. Dad had one sister, Norma Eileen Collins, and one brother, Donald Clyde Palmateer.

My Gfather was one of eight:
Stanley Perry
and Lloyd Albert

The were the children of my GGfather, Sanford Esely Palmateer, and Unice Emily Dixon.

Sanford was one the 10 children of my GGGfather, Henry A. Palmateer. Henry and Eleanor McDonald had:

Vileta - born about 1860
George - born February 16, 1861, died in 1939 and buried in Wilberforce U.C. Cemetery
Ida - born March 1, 1868, died February 7, 1945, buried in Wilberforce U.C. Cemetery
Charity - born in 1870, buried in Oshawa
Albro William - born August 24, 1874
and Ernest

We think, but have not yet been able to confirm, that Henry's father and mother were Peter and Elizabeth. I haven't yet been able to check the Ontario census records, but internet searches show Peter in 1861, 1871 and 1881 in Brighton Township and in 1891 in Belmont Township.
