Hi Dan, I am Sherry from Mi. I am also looking for Palmateres in Ontario. This is what I have, James Palmater married Lucinda Hall. They had 6 children. Mable, Walter, Guy, William, Phoebe, and Ray. Mable married Claud Smith and moved to Toledo, Ohio. After James died Lucinda moved in with Mable. I understand that William went to Delhousie. as for the rest I do not know. But dad said that the family all settled in Amhurstburg south of Windsor. Also Mable and Claude were second or third cousins. The story is James went to Canada to keep out of the war. He was murdered during union pickiting on the docks. This is all the info on him. Hope this helps.
