Charlton -- George A. Palmateer, Jr., born 72 years ago on July 17, 1929, died after a short illness. [no date of death stated]
Born in Charlton, lifelong resident.
George Palmateer and Ann Marie Cox were married on Feb. 25, 1983 in St. Mary's Church, Galway, NY.
Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Barnes of Galway, Margaret Patterson of Malta, and Nora Barnes of Raleigh, NC; two sons, Thomas G. Palmateer of Galway, and Russell Palmateer of Schuylerville;. five stepdaughters, AnnMarie Landrigan of Charlottesville, VA, Mary Elizabeth Kern of Monroeville, NJ, Kathleen Ellen Fournier of Clifton Park, Christina Erin Eisenbrown of Galway, and Joanna Lynn Grimes of Glenville; two sisters, Dorothy Quellhorst of Queensbury, and Shirley Brazee of Pattersonville; as well as 15 grandchildren.
Friends and family may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Richard J. Ryan Funeral Home, Sacandaga Road (Galway Village), Galway, NY.
Services at the West Charlton Presbyterian Church.
Interment at the Sweetman Cemetery.
