Hi Debra, I only just read your message and immediately decided to get in touch with you. I was born in Long Island in 1914 from Italian parents but later moved to Italy and lost touch with my family back in the US. I’m now trying to trace back my relatives in the US. I know some of them are called Palmieri and should be living in the NY area as my mother Carmela Palmieri had brothers and sisters who were living there when she moved to Italy. They might be your grandparents or may be related to you in some other way. If you think you are part of my family, I’d be grateful if you could get in touch so that I could get to know names/places/remaining branches of my family. If not, I’m really sorry for this invasion into your privacy, but could you please write back to let me know anyway? Thanks ever so much for your help. Look forward to hearing from you, Tessy PS: what is really important, I think is that you try and get to know which part of Italy your great-grandparents came from.
