My G.G. Grandmother, born Monroe Co, KY 12/28/1818: Married to Henry DeWitt, pioneer preacher in 1838. Moved Illinois in 1864 and Elk County, Ks in 1871. Died there in 1906. I believe some of this family were Confederates and some Union. Two sons died in the Civil War. Her daughter Nancy E. DeWitt Turner was my great grandmother.
